I wanted to experiment with alcohol inks because I love the bright colors they produce and the way the inks work together. This is one of my first artworks with this medium and was a great diversion during my spring break!

Title or Location: Gratz Park Winter
This area of Lexington is one of my favorite areas of the city. Especially during the winter time. I love the architecture of this area and this Church always catches my eye when driving through Gratz Park. I'm working on a series capturing the city of Lexington where I was raised and am certain to include more of the Gratz Park area.

This image was hand drawn and oil painted on a 12x16 canvas sheet. It is in memory of a baby Squirrel that myself and my teenage daughter raised years ago. We called him Icarus.I was Veterinarian Technician at the time and my daughter actually grew up to be a Veterinarian. Such laughs we had with that baby Squirrel!

My husband Brenton and I took off just before Christmas to the mountains of the Great Dividing Range, following the Snowy River to the ocean. I took a thousand photos, but wanted to paint one of the stunning memory images I bought with me when I returned home. I love to travel with my husband and paint wherever we go.
